The 100th anniversary Royal Australian Air Force RAAF is the focus of this year’s Parramatta Eels ANZAC Jersey. This was established on 31 March 1921. Squadron leader Kathy Turner CSM was the creator of the jersey. She is a permanent Air Force Veteran Engineering officer and Active Reserveist who served more 30 years in operations to Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan. Although he is still serving in the defense force, Squadron Leader Turner CSSM is a freelance Graphic Design Designer. He also owns Graphite Design Coal Coast. The jersey is a memorial to 100 years’ worth of RAAF service as well as the personnel who have served it. Over 350,000 Australians served in RAAF, while 11,191 gave their lives to the cause. Their sacrifices and their service will be forever remembered.
